Happiness happens to those who seek it!!

Believe it or not i ws actually thinking abt this before reading a article abt the same by Shobhaa De in a magazine...
The universe’s most elusive and most desired emotional state..Happiness!! But there is a catch in being happy..which is.."Inorder to achieve happiness ,a person first has to want to be happy!" Sounds simple and stupid huh...bt lemme tell u..this is what most of us lack!...Just think when ws the last time u actually thought ‘Yes,i want to be happy.’ Sounds foolish??Wel think abt it....However its true...Happiness happens to those who seek it!
I was thinking abt al those years before...wen i was small...and now...sadly its more frowns and less smiles now(though i am improving..;-)).Wel you can always say that its ws different wen we wer small..less responsibilities, less work n tons of innocense..ah..it really didnt take much to be happy then...come on...an ice cream was enough to bring on a smile!!bt nw its different, isnt it??Or is it??... Hmm...Not denying the fact that there are ups and downs in life...bt doesnt mean u have to be soar abt it al the time.Trust me,those small and tiny weeny things in life that brings on a smile on your face still counts.:-) What our problem is we focus more on things that doesnt make us happy rather than on those that do.We continue to bang on closed doors and so fail to see the opened ones..
Wel the article had some 20-25 tips to be happy..hehe dont worry i am not gonna scribble al that here.It consists mostly of things that we already know...bt something that caught me ws..to be happy you have to be selfish!!Lemme tell you.. being ‘constructively selfish’ is different from being mean and self-centered. We all like to see our selves as generous people but the truth is we only help people who can help us.Anyways if you dont give yourself priority, you can never give others...in short you can never make the people around you happy without being happy urself!

true true true!
it's a very common thing which so many people don't understand and so they feel jealous of the happy people.. :)

(actually thought generated after seeing my recent facebook ranking where people had found me bad at almost everything but still many were jealous of me)
